This article explains how to set up an exam result cycle for the portal so students, parents, and guardians can view results at the right time.
It also covers how to control subject display, check data sync timing, and troubleshoot missing results.
π Note:
You can use the legacy Exam Results page. However, this does not include the candidate's full details.
Page permissions control who can view exam results. You must also have pupil logins enabled if you want students to view their own results.
Set Up an Exam Result Cycle for the Portal
Release your exam results in your MIS.
In My School Portal, click Admin Control Panel.
From the Student Data drop-down menu, select Exam Result Cycles.
Select the relevant exam result cycle, then apply any relevant filters.
Amend the display name if required.
Select the Show each subject at its scheduled release date and time check box.
Select the relevant subjects, then click Set release date.
Select the relevant date and time, then choose how to display the results.
Click Save.
π Note:
If you select a date in the future, the results do not display until that date. If you select a date in the past, the results display immediately.
If you link a student to multiple exam result cycles, the portal groups them by release date. For example, if all GCSE results have a release date of 2 September 2023, they appear grouped as September 2023 on the front end.
Change How Exam Results Display
You can control how exam result subjects appear in the portal, including:
The display name users see.
The order subjects appear in.
Whether the subject result appears on the front end.
Whether the Grade Endorsement appears.
You can also see how many students are linked to each subject in the exam result cycle.
Open the relevant exam result cycle in Exam Result Cycles.
Review the subjects in the cycle, then update the display name, order, and visibility settings as needed.
Enable or disable Grade Endorsement display if required.
Search for a student in the preview drop-down, then select the student to preview how the results will appear before they go live in the portal.
