Set Up Exam Timetables

Add an Exam Timetable page so users can view and print exam timetable data from your MIS in the portal.

Written by Cristina Gruita

This article explains how to create an Exam Timetable page in the portal so users can view exam timetable information for the selected student.

Once the page is added and enabled, the exam timetable data starts displaying automatically from your MIS.

πŸ“ŒNote: The portal only displays exam timetable data up to six months in advance of today’s date. Any exam timetable entry after six months does not display on this page. This setting is hardcoded and cannot be changed for a school.

Set Up Exam Timetables

  1. Log in as an Admin user, then click Admin Control Panel.

  2. On the sidebar, click Content, then click Content Manager.

  3. Next to the relevant Section heading, click Add new page.

  4. In the Page Type menu, click Exam Timetable.

  5. In the Content section, complete the following fields:

    • Section – Click the section you want your page to appear under.

    • Page Name – Enter a name for your page.

    • Tags – Use the predefined tags if required.

    • Content – Add any content if required.

  6. In the Permissions section, complete the following fields:

    • Page enabled? – Select this checkbox if you want the page to display immediately to users.

    • Section visible to all users? – Clear this checkbox if you want to set specific School, Year Group, or User permissions.

  7. Click Save.

Once the page has been added and enabled, the exam timetable data from your MIS automatically starts displaying for the selected student.

Understand Exam Timetable Display Limits

  1. Check the exam dates in your MIS if users cannot see expected timetable entries.

  2. Confirm that the exam dates fall within six months of today’s date.

  3. If an exam entry is more than six months ahead, expect it not to display in the portal until it falls within the supported date range.
