How to display the Custom Form Pack to users

Learn how to create a Custom Form Pack page in the portal and control which users can see it.

This article explains how to make a Custom Form Pack visible to parents and students by creating a Custom Form Pack page in Content Manager and setting the correct permissions.

If you haven’t created your Custom Forms yet, see Setup Custom Forms In The Portal first, then return to this article to display them.


Create A Custom Form Pack Page

  1. Log in to the portal as an Admin user.

  2. Click Admin Control Panel.

  3. On the left-hand menu, click Content, then click Content Manager.

  4. Next to the Sections heading where you want the page to sit, click Add new page (the purple rectangle with a white cross).

  5. In the Page Type drop-down, select Custom Form Pack.


Configure The Content Section

In the Content section of the new page, complete:

  • Section – Choose the Section where the page should appear (for example, “Forms”, “Parents”, or Static Content, depending on your structure).

  • Page Name – Enter a clear name for the page (for example, “Trip Consent Form Pack” or “Annual Data Collection Pack”).

  • Tag – Tags are predefined; choose the correct tag if required by your setup.

  • Content – Optionally add introductory text or instructions for users, such as:

    • What the form pack is for.

    • When it needs to be completed.

    • Who to contact if they have questions.


Set Permissions For The Custom Form Pack Page

In the Permissions section, complete:

  1. Page enabled?

    • Tick this box to make the page visible to users immediately after saving.

    • Leave it unticked if you want to configure more settings first and publish later.

  2. Show in Guardian App?

    • Tick this to allow the Custom Form Pack to be viewed within the mobile Guardian App.

    • Clear it if the form pack should only be accessible via the web portal.

  3. Section visible to all users?

    • Leave this box ticked if the page should be visible to all users who can access this section.

    • Clear this box to set more specific visibility, such as by School, Year Group, and/or User permissions (for example, only Guardians of certain year groups).

When all settings are correct:

  1. Click Save Changes.

Your Custom Form Pack page is now created and will be displayed according to the permissions you have set.
