Update Dashboards

Learn how to add, edit, move, and remove dashboard widgets in the portal.

Edit A Dashboard

  1. Log in to the portal as an Admin user.

  2. Click Admin Control Panel.

  3. Click Content, then click Dashboards.

  4. Find the dashboard you want to update and click Edit.

  5. Use the dashboard editor to add, edit, move, or remove widgets as required.


Add A Widget

  1. In the Dashboard editor, find the column where you want to add the widget.

  2. Click Add a Widget in that column.

  3. Select the widget type from the list.

  4. Complete the required fields for that widget (for example, title, icon, link, or source).

  5. Click Confirm.

The new widget appears in the column. You can move it or edit it at any time.


Edit Or Move A Widget

Move a widget

  1. In the Dashboard editor, locate the widget you want to move.

  2. Click and drag the widget to the new position in the same column or another column.

  3. Release the mouse button to drop it into place.

Edit a widget

  1. On the widget, click the three dots menu.

  2. Click Edit.

  3. Update the widget settings as needed.

  4. Click Confirm or Save (depending on the widget) to apply your changes.


Remove A Widget

  1. In the Dashboard editor, locate the widget you want to remove.

  2. On the widget, click the three dots menu (or Options, depending on your view).

  3. Click Remove.

  4. Confirm the removal if prompted.

The widget is removed from the dashboard. You can add it again later if needed.


Available Widgets

Below is a list of available widgets to add to your dashboard:

Events

Displays the next two events from the calendar.

Latest Messages

Displays the three newest Messages.

Bulletin Board

Displays content from your bulleting board page for more info please click here .

The height of this widget will depend on the amount of data on your bulletin board page.

Link (internal)

Display the chosen icon, colour and link.

For internal links to portal pages we recommend using the tags.

Link (external)

Displays the chosen icon, colour and link. This allows you to send a user to any external websites that your school wishes.

Planet eStream

Displays video/ content from Planet eStream.

You will need to have Planet eStream setup with your portal, please contact our support team if required.

Vimeo

Displays your Vimeo videos.

Youtube

Displays your YouTube videos.

Feed

Displays the content of a feed i.e. RSS feed.

This works with standard formatted XML feeds. The height of this widget will depends on the number of items displayed.

My Students

Displays the Students linked to the user providing a link to the student dashboard.

The height of this widget will depend on the number of students the user has.

Instagram

Displays Instagram Posts and Reels

Please ensure that the integration has been set up and authorised.

Custom Content

Provides a Widget to add custom Content to the Dashboard.

The height of this widget depends on the amount of data on your content widget.​
