We’re delighted to introduce a comprehensive visual refresh of the My School Portal admin interface. This release delivers a modern, more accessible design that meets current accessibility standards whilst improving usability across all devices. The update represents weeks of careful development to enhance the administrative experience for school staff.

The admin interface now features Access Education’s updated branding throughout the platform. We’ve replaced the previous purple colour scheme with a fresh, modern palette that provides better contrast and visual clarity. The updated Access logo appears consistently across all admin tools, reinforcing our unified brand identity.

We’ve implemented comprehensive updates to typography throughout the admin interface. Text is now more legible with improved sizing hierarchies that make it easier to scan and understand information quickly. Headers, body text, and validation messages now follow consistent styling rules that enhance readability and reduce cognitive load when managing administrative tasks.

All interactive elements have been redesigned with clearer visual states. Buttons now feature distinct hover effects and improved colour differentiation between primary and secondary actions. For example, the Preview and Save buttons now have clearly distinguishable colours to help prevent accidental clicks.

Toggle switches, checkboxes, and radio buttons have been updated with cleaner visual feedback, removing unnecessary borders for a more streamlined appearance. Date pickers now feature improved colour schemes that make selected dates more visible, whilst dropdown menus maintain consistent border styling after selections are made.

One of the most significant improvements in this release is the implementation of a consistent navigation menu across all admin tools and managers. Whether you’re working in the Content Manager, Messages tool, Events area, or any other section of the admin interface, you’ll now experience the same familiar menu structure and behaviour.

This consistency removes the disruption previously experienced when switching between different areas of the system. School administrators can now move effortlessly between administrative tasks, with frequently used functions always appearing in the same location.

This update focuses entirely on visual and usability improvements. Minimal functional changes have been made to existing features, ensuring a seamless transition for all users whilst benefiting from the enhanced interface.
