You can update the API Key Cache Expiry on a single iSAMS Batch API key to control how frequently data changes are refreshed in the API feed. Reducing the cache time (for example, to 1–6 hours) helps ensure that updates in iSAMS are reflected in the portal sooner.

Edit The Cache Expiry For A Batch API Key

  1. Log in to iSAMS.

  2. On the left menu, click Administration, then click iSAMS Control Panel.

  3. Click API Services Manager.

  4. On the right-hand side, click Manage Batch API Keys.

  5. In the list of Batch API keys, find the key you created by checking the Integrator Name and Product Name.

  6. On that row, in the second column from the right, click the Edit API Key icon.

    • A pop-up window appears.

  7. Click the Key Properties tab.

  8. In API Key Cache Expiry, use the drop-down to select the required time (for example, 1 hour, or 4–6 hours as commonly recommended).

    • This controls how quickly changes in iSAMS can be pulled through to the portal via the API.

  9. Click Save & Close to save the change and manually refresh the API key.

The new cache expiry time is now applied to that Batch API key. Future changes made in iSAMS will be available in the API feed according to the updated cache interval.
